Highlights

  • Vietnam – Rich Culture: Not only popular for its fabulous local dishes, but Vietnam is also one of the most exotic destinations in Southeast Asia, famous for its long history, rich culture, and customs of 54 different ethnic groups (eg Kinh, Tay, H’Mong), each with its own language. Among 54 ethnic groups, the Kinh (or Viet) make up about 88% of the population.
  • Vietnam – Best Floating Markets: The colorful floating markets of southern Vietnam have been a way of life and trade for people in the Mekong Delta for over 100 years. Today, these floating markets (eg Cai Rang, Cai Be floating markets) still play a vital role in the local life.
  • Thailand – Remarkable Temples: Thai temples (e.g. Wat Rong Khun, Wat Phra Chetuphon, Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep) possess a magnificent appearance that may impress tourists at first sight. They are not only places of worship, but also outstanding architecture praising the detailed and exquisite aesthetics of the Thai people.
  • Thailand – The Most Incredible National Parks: With a diverse nature, Thailand has many national parks (e.g. Doi Inthanon, Khao Sok, Khao Yai) where there are beautiful landscapes as well as a wide range of fauna and flora. These parks are even home to endangered animals, giving you great chances to see some of Thailand’s untouched wilderness.

Tips

  • Each country has different strengths. Vietnam features a karst seascape, ethnic customs, ancient cities, and the Mekong Delta, while Thailand includes Buddhist temples, beaches, rainforests, and wildlife.
  • Vietnam and Thailand have similar weather conditions – both are tropical countries with rainy and dry seasons. Thailand is a little warmer than Vietnam due to the lower latitudes in the south.
  • Although Southeast Asia is generally affordable, Thailand will cost more than Vietnam in some aspects.
  • Thai cuisine features a sour and spicy flavor, but there are milder curries. Vietnamese cuisine focuses on a fresh taste, but it is still a bit sour and spicy. So, be careful with what you order for the meal.

Why Combine Vietnam and Thailand in One Trip?

Because the contrast is the experience, and the logistics make sense. Vietnam and Thailand are linked by frequent regional flights and efficient ground connections, allowing smooth transitions without backtracking. More importantly, the countries complement each other:

  • Vietnam rewards curiosity: layered history, UNESCO heritage, street food culture, river life, and dramatic coastlines.
  • Thailand balances discovery with ease: grand temples, northern culture, wildlife and nature, and easy-access island escapes.

We builds Vietnam – Thailand routes to move from energy to ease, so the journey feels complete rather than crowded.

My friend and I are foodie travelers, so we decided to book this tour with the desire to explore the Southeast Asia culinary scene, and this tour was absolutely beyond our expectations. Both Thai and Vietnamese cuisine are great, from their look to flavor. In each destination, we tried some food, and all of them were so excellent that they awakened our taste buds. Thank you IDC Travel for guiding us to the popular food spots and supporting us during our trip! Would definitely use their service in the future!!!

This is our very first time traveling to Thailand and it was an unforgettable escape. Thailand beaches were so lively, and Phang Nga Bay amazed us with its dramatic limestone cliffs and emerald waters, especially during a scenic boat tour. This is truly a must-visit for nature lovers and beach enthusiasts!

Our 10-day trip from Chiang Mai to Phuket was an amazing experience, thanks to IDC Travel. In Chiang Mai, we explored beautiful temples, visited an ethnic elephant sanctuary, and enjoyed the lively night markets. Then, off to Phuket, where we relaxed on stunning beaches, took a breathtaking Phi Phi Islands tour, and indulged in delicious Thai food. The itinerary was well organized, and our guide made every moment so special. Highly recommend this trip for anyone visiting Thailand!

Aino Lehtinen

My friends and I decided to take this trip to Thailand, and it was so fascinating. We have never visited a floating market like Famnoen Saduak, so this was so exciting to experience the vibrant atmosphere. The Grand Palace left us in awe with its intricate architecture and rich history. Then, the cruise on the Chao Phraya River gave us a unique and romantic view of Bangkok. Big thanks to our guide for making the trip smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour for first-time travellers to Thailand!
