Where to Apply Visa to Vietnam

Vietnam E-visa

The electronic visa for Vietnam (e-visa Vietnam) was issued by the Immigration Department of Vietnam from February 2017. This type of visa is issued online.

The advantage of this type of visa is that everything can be settled before departure. Simply fill in the Vietnam visa application form online and wait for it to be emailed to you. As a result, you will receive an actual visa, not an approval letter. The advantage is that you will not need to queue when you arrive in Vietnam. You’ll also save money, as you won’t have to pay any middlemen or pay stamping fees on arrival.

Before, the e-visa is only valid for 30 days for foreigners to enter Vietnam once (01) for tourism purposes, not for commercial or business purposes. However, the National Assembly decided in June 2023 to extend the duration of the electronic visa from 30 days to 90 days and to authorize its holder to make several entries into Vietnam during this period of validity.

Who can apply for an e-visa for Vietnam?

Currently, Vietnam applies electronic visa or e-visa for citizens of 80 countries in Vietnam, for purposes such as tourism, business investment, visiting relatives, work, marriage, … and do not stay more than 30 days. Check 80 countries in this link as well as the frequent questions of the e-visa.

Entering and exiting by e-visa

Citizens with an e-visa are allowed to enter Vietnam through any of the 33 regulated border gates. See the list in this link.
