Alex helped me organize a wonderful trip for my family! He helped me a lot, from choosing locations and activities to shopping and dining details. Our trip was amazing. The tour guides were so enthusiastic. Our hotels were booked in the middle of crowded streets in the downtown areas, which allowed us to explore at night and enjoy the lively local lifestyle. In addition, the trip was reasonably priced and customized to meet our needs. We are grateful to you, Alex, and we can't wait for our next visit.

I highly recommend this tour to anyone who travels alone and just has a short-day trip like me. It was so well-organized with 10 days traveling from North to South Vietnam and visiting all the typical places here : Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh, Hoi An, Ho Chi Minh City and Mekong Delta. Everyone I met was so nice: my guides, all the new friends that I made, and local people. The service was excellent. I'm really happy with my hotels during the trip, so clean and lovely. Thanks for a great tour!

Great experience thanks to friendly and informative service. The guides were very attentive, as were the rest of the members. The agency was in regular contact with my family before the scheduled date, the shuttle was smooth on time, the places to visit were beautiful. It's a good mix, no rush and enough time to have both activity and relaxation time. 100% recommend!

From start to finish, this tour was an exceptional experience. Alex, our travel advisor, was incredibly helpful in answering all of our questions and putting together a tailored itinerary that perfectly fit our interests and preferences. We were able to visit some of Vietnam's most iconic sites, including Ha Long Bay, Hoi An, and the Cu Chi Tunnels, as well as lesser-known but equally fascinating places like the Mekong Delta and the Marble Mountains.

The accommodations throughout the tour were top-notch, with clean and comfortable rooms, delicious food, and friendly staff. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, personable, and went out of his way to make sure that we had the best possible experience. He was always available to answer our questions, offer suggestions, and make sure that we were comfortable.

One of the highlights of the tour was the opportunity to meet and interact with local people, both in the cities and in more rural areas. We were able to learn about their culture and way of life, and even participate in some traditional activities like making rice paper and fishing with local fishermen.

Overall, I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. If you are looking for an immersive and unforgettable experience in Vietnam, IDC Travel and Alex are the way to go. Thank you for an incredible trip!

Alex organised an excellent South and Central Vietnam 9 day itinerary for us. Responsive, catered to our requirements, good choice of hotels, knowledgeable guides, reliable drivers, well priced. Especially our guide Duy in Saigon, he was extra good with small children. He kept us updated with the typhoon in September as well, our plans nearly got disrupted by it. All in all highly recommended.

I found IDC travel online because of the good reviews, and after a day of inquiring, Sir Alex responded right away with a detailed itinerary tailored to our preference! He is very responsive and accommodating with our needs, especially during our travel. Our trip in vietnam was organised, smooth, and really enjoyable! Even the organization of the itinerary and payments went smoothly. Some few comments would be agreeing to the previous review, like having the tour guide give us advices/tips about maybe the weather, what to wear, what to expect during the tours or anything important to bring if necessary so we could prepare better in terms of outfit, what to bring, etc. The drivers are very nice, but it would be even better if they greeted/welcomed us once we arrive. One driver did not have proper signage so we were waiting for quite awhile. Nevertheless, Sir Alex listened to our concerns and came up with solutions right away. Overall, we are very satisfied and it was great value for our money too. We booked another tour with them for Thailand this August. We cannot wait to book with them again in the future.

Vietnam Tours by Theme

We have designed several superb Vietnam tourist packages in different categories: discovery of Vietnam, family tour, luxury travel, honeymoon, seaside stay, etc., to help you organize your trip. These categories are a wonderful starting point for finding and designing your own Vietnam vacation with us.

How to organize a trip to Vietnam?

Vietnam is one of the most popular travel destinations in Southeast Asia, with thousands of years of history, diverse cultures, majestic natural landscapes, and hospitable locals. However, self-traveling in Vietnam presents significant challenges for foreign visitors, such as language barriers, public transportation issues, cultural differences, and the risk of exploitation. Therefore, finding the best Vietnam tour packages is the preferred choice for most tourists seeking a perfect vacation in Vietnam.

What Are the Most Famous Tourist Places in Vietnam?

When it comes to must-visit destinations in Vietnam, you will see multiple inspiring tourist spots across all three regions: the North (Hanoi, Halong, Ninh Binh, Sapa), the Central region (Hue, Hoi An, Da Nang, Nha Trang), and the South (Saigon, Mekong Delta, Phu Quoc). The North showcases dramatic landscapes and rich history, the Central region blends imperial heritage with stunning coastlines, while the South offers a vibrant mix of dynamic cities, lush river deltas, and tropical island escapes.

Halong Bay

Halong Bay

Northern Vietnam: Hanoi, Halong, Ninh Binh, Sapa

Northern Vietnam is such a must-visit place for your vacation when you come to our country. With our North Vietnam tours, you would have the chance to experience all sides. It combines cultural tours in Hanoi, beach and cruise tours in Halong, historical tours in Ninh Binh, and adventure tours in Sapa.

Central Vietnam: Hue, Hoi An, Da Nang, Nha Trang

When it comes to the demand for complete relaxation, central Vietnam tours are the best option here. Starting from Hue with the ancient citadel and its fascinating historical lessons, then following a mix of traditional culture and modern lifestyle to Hoi An and Da Nang. Finally, end your vacation gently with the city that has one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Nha Trang.

Southern Vietnam: Saigon, Mekong Delta, Phu Quoc

A harmony of noise and peace is the best way to describe a holiday in South Vietnam. Arriving in Saigon (a.k.a. Ho Chi Minh City), you will begin sightseeing in crowded South Vietnam, a city of 10 million people teeming with all kinds of services and entertainment activities. Then 1-2 days in the Mekong Delta should help slow the trip down before a glorious end with a beach holiday in Phu Quoc, Vietnam’s most beautiful island.

What Are the Vietnam Travel Highlights?

One of the strengths of traveling in Vietnam is the country’s clear regional diversity, which makes it easy to build rich and well-balanced itineraries. Each region offers its character and rhythm. The North reflects the roots of Vietnamese culture with its historic cities, mountains, and natural landscapes. Central Vietnam blends imperial heritage, ancient towns, and laid-back coastal life. The South offers a more dynamic atmosphere, influenced by modern cities and the Mekong waterways. By moving through these regions, travelers gain a deeper, more authentic understanding of Vietnam, experiencing not only its famous landmarks but also the daily life, traditions, and contrasts that define the country.

Northern Vietnam: Culture, Mountains and Natural Wonders

Northern Vietnam is the cultural cradle of the country, combining ancient heritage with spectacular landscapes.

Highlights:

  • Hanoi: a timeless capital with the Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, museums, temples, and vibrant street food.
  • Halong Bay: iconic limestone karsts, overnight cruises, kayaking, and caves.
  • Ninh Binh: riverboat rides in Trang An or Tam Coc, cycling through rice fields and temples.
  • Sapa: terraced rice fields, ethnic minority villages, trekking, and a cool mountain climate.

Best for: first-time visitors, culture lovers, photographers, and soft adventure travelers.

Central Vietnam: Heritage, Ancient Towns and Beaches

Central Vietnam offers a perfect balance between history, charm, and seaside relaxation.

Highlights:

  • Hue: Imperial Citadel, royal tombs, pagodas, and refined royal cuisine (UNESCO).
  • Hoi An: lantern-lit streets, tailor-made clothes, cooking classes, riverside cafés, and heritage houses.
  • Da Nang: modern beach city, luxury resorts, Ba Na Hills, Marble Mountains.
  • My Son Sanctuary: Ancient Cham Hindu temples hidden in the jungle.

Best for: couples, heritage travelers, those interested in beach and culture itineraries, and individuals who prefer slow travel.

Southern Vietnam: Dynamic Cities and River Life

Southern Vietnam is lively and warm, showcasing modern energy and traditional river culture.

Highlights:

  • Ho Chi Minh City: a bustling metropolis with colonial architecture, museums, nightlife, and food tours.
  • Mekong Delta: floating markets, canals, fruit orchards, and authentic homestays.
  • Cu Chi Tunnels: underground network revealing Vietnam War history.
  • Phu Quoc: tropical beaches, snorkeling, resorts, and sunset views.

Best for: urban explorers, history enthusiasts, local-life experiences, and beach extensions.

The Grand Palace left us in awe with its intricate architecture and rich history. Then, the cruise on the Chao Phraya River gave us a unique and romantic view of Bangkok. Big thanks to our guide for making the trip smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour for first-time travellers to Thailand!

Yes, children are welcome on most Vietnam tours. Family-friendly itineraries are widely available, and many tours can be adjusted to suit traveling with kids. Generally, children must be accompanied by at least one adult. Required documents usually include a valid passport and, in some cases, a visa, depending on nationality.

The following is our child policy:

– Children under 5 years old travel free of charge when accompanying one full-paying adult, sharing the same room and meals with parents. However, air tickets (if applicable) and any additional incurred expenses are charged separately.

– Children from 5 to under 11 years old are charged 75% of the adult rate when accompanying one full-paying adult and using services as an adult.

– Children aged 11 years and above are charged the full adult rate.

For smooth arrangements, we recommend informing us of the child’s age at the time of booking so accommodation, transportation, and services can be properly prepared.

Vietnam is a year-round destination, but the best overall time to visit is from October to April, when weather conditions are generally drier and more comfortable for travel. Because the country stretches across multiple climate zones, the ideal timing depends on the regions you plan to explore.

  • The North of Vietnam (Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh, Sapa) is best visited from October to March, with cooler temperatures and lower humidity, making it ideal for sightseeing and outdoor activities.
  • The Central region (Hue, Hoi An, Da Nang, Nha Trang) enjoys its best weather from February to August, when rainfall is low and beach conditions are at their best.
  • The South of Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City, the Mekong Delta, and Phu Quoc) is most pleasant from December to April, during the dry season, with warm temperatures and minimal rain.

These regional differences allow you to easily tailor Vietnam into an enjoyable itinerary at almost any time of the year.

Vietnam tours offer different durations between 5 and 21 days, so depending on your available time for your vacation, you can plan the trip. Let’s review our Vietnam sightseeing itinerary options below:

  • 5-6 days spent on a short vacation, you can plan a short trip to 1 part of Vietnam, like the North, South, or Central.
  • 7-10 days can plan an itinerary covering 2-3 parts of Vietnam with domestic flights.
  • 11-15 days can cover all highlighted parts of Vietnam with a short relaxing day on the beach.
  • We offer more than 15 days for those who are keen to discover Vietnam deeper in untouched areas or stay longer in each place.
