Southern Vietnam Sightseeing and Beach Relaxation for families in 9 Days

When you arrive at Tan Son Nhat – Sai Gon International Airport, our tour guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area, carrying a welcome signboard with IDC Travel and your name, and will take you to Saigon downtown with a quick briefing en way. Check into the hotel.

The remainder of the day is free to explore Vietnam’s vibrant and stunning capital.

At 8:00 a.m., our driver and tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Cao Dai Temple in Tay Ninh, a region 95 kilometers south of HCMC and near to the Cambodian border. The Cao Dai Temple is a Walt Disney-style fantasy of the East. Its façade is adorned with multicolored dragons of all shapes and sizes vying for space with a swarm of swastikas. The all-seeing holy eye, the Cao Dai sect’s emblem, is located above the main entrance. The interior is just as interesting, with sculptures of Jesus Christ, Buddha, and the Hindu god Brahma coexisting. Lunch at an excellent restaurant.

After lunch, we will depart Tay Ninh for the Cu Chi Tunnel at 1:00 p.m. The Cu Chi Tunnels, which are part of a vast network of tunnels beneath Ho Chi Minh City, are notable for their participation in the Vietnam War. Learn about their usefulness throughout the conflict as hiding places, communication and supply channels, and dwelling quarters. Return to your accommodation after exploring the small, subterranean tunnels and hearing stories from your guide. Our driver and guide will transport you to your hotel in Saigon, and you will arrive approximately 6:00 p.m.

Evening optional activities in Ho Chi Minh City:

08.00 am: Our guide and driver will pick up passengers from their hotels and transport them to My Tho, which takes around 1.5 hours to reach. When you arrive in My Tho, travel to Vinh Trang Pagoda and then take a 20-minute wooden motorboat ride to Unicorn Island. Travellers riding this boat along the river’s bank will see natural streams, an intriguing fisherman’s port, and stilt residences (half on land, half on water). We will next drive you to a bee farm where you will be able to sample a delicious cup of traditional honey tea.

Following that, we wander through tranquil villages, seeing rural life in the Mekong Delta. You will also see a variety of unusual transportation choices that locals use to get about while enjoying the fresh air and gorgeous water coconut tree landscape along the canal.

Then we’ll visit a town with several tiny stores selling coconut sweets and artisan products made from Mekong Delta coconut palms. Furthermore, you will get the opportunity to understand how those folks can miraculously create hundreds of useful things out of coconut trees.

One of the boat’s stops on this journey is at a seasonal orchard with a variety of scrumptious tropical fruits for your delight. You may sample the fruits for free while listening to folk music unique to the people of Southern Vietnam.

Then drive to Can Tho. Arrive in Can Tho, check into your accommodation, and enjoy some free time.

Cai Rang Floating Market

We board a boat at 6:45 a.m. after breakfast and sail for roughly 40 minutes to our first beautiful landscape – Cai Rang floating market. This is the largest structure of its kind in the entire Mekong delta. During this tour, you will get the opportunity to board a merchant boat that sells pineapples from Can Tho City.

Following that, we continue on our river path for 5-7 minutes before walking for approximately 5 minutes to a noodle and rice paper factory. The next destination is a rice processing facility, where you’ll learn about the numerous stages that go into transforming “rice with a brown cover” into the tasty and beautiful rice grain we eat every day. The time should now be approximately 12 p.m. We’ll return to Can Tho for lunch. Check out of the accommodation in Can Tho and enjoy some free time.

After breakfast at the hotel, tourists will be free to enjoy their final days in Can Tho.

Our driver will bring passengers to Can Tho airport for their trip to Phu Quoc at the suitable time. When you arrive in Phu Quoc, our driver will meet you there and transfer you to your hotel for check-in.
