I am from China and joined this 6 days temple tour in Thailand with my parents. Bangkok was busy but very exciting, the temple day was long but not boring, especially the Grand Palace and the boat ride in small canals. One funny thing was we stop in Chinatown at night by ourself and ate too much street food, my stomach was not very happy but still worth it.
Ayutthaya was the part I didnt expect to like so much. The ruins felt quiet and powerful, and the boat ride around old temples was very relaxing. I remember the roti in the Muslim quarter, sweet and fresh, we went back to buy again even after lunch. It didnt feel like a rushed day, more like learning history slowly.
Chiang Rai was calm and different from Bangkok. The White Temple was very impressive in real life, photos dont really show the details, and the Blue Temple at night was also beautiful. The Golden Triangle was interesting but the Opium Museum surprised me more than I thought. Overall the tour was well planed, not perfect, but felt honest and comfortable for people who like culture and temples more than shopping.
