Time to Travel

Although you may not consider yourself a “fair-weather only” rider, the rainy season, which lasts from June to December, will take a toll on your enthusiasm for riding a motorcycle. Typhoons, flash floods, and flooding all occur during that time. You wouldn’t want to take the chance of getting stuck given that some of the roads and infrastructure may already be a little worn out. To determine the ideal time of year to visit Vietnam, look at our detailed weather map.

Visa

This is a fact that we believe all tourists are aware of. However, the way to get your approved visa in Vietnam might change based on the situation in the country. Therefore, it might be confusing for you sometimes. To get the most updated information about registering visas in Vietnam, check out our detailed guide.

The Tham Ma Pass is the next mountain pass, with its recognizable s-shaped road. There are so many wonderful activities in Cao Bang that are overlooked, which offers a special chance to explore and venture off the beaten path.

Ban Gioc waterfall

The Ban Gioc waterfall, one of the highlights of this province, is the main draw for tourists to Cao Bang. The biggest waterfall in Vietnam is located here, close to the Chinese border. They are breathtaking waterfalls that will make your trip through Vietnam especially memorable. The falls are impressively 300 meters wide, despite being “only” 30 meters high. Hai Van Pass

Hai Van Pass

The Hai Van Pass is the most breathtaking sight you’ll encounter traveling from Da Nang to Hue. The coastal town of Lang Co is linked to the contemporary city of Da Nang by a road that crosses the mountains. Amazing views can be found along the entire 21-kilometer road that crosses the pass, and those who stray from it on occasion are rewarded with miles of deserted beach. You hardly encounter issues now that the tunnel through the mountain has opened. It all becomes much safer with the addition of other traffic that travels through the pass.

An Unforgettable Adventure: My 12-Day Vietnam Tour with IDC Travel and Alex

Reviewed by Ebert, December 16, 2022

From start to finish, this tour was an exceptional experience. Alex, our travel advisor, was incredibly helpful in answering all of our questions and putting together a tailored itinerary that perfectly fit our interests and preferences. We were able to visit some of Vietnam's most iconic sites, including Ha Long Bay, Hoi An, and the Cu Chi Tunnels, as well as lesser-known but equally fascinating places like the Mekong Delta and the Marble Mountains.

The accommodations throughout the tour were top-notch, with clean and comfortable rooms, delicious food, and friendly staff. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, personable, and went out of his way to make sure that we had the best possible experience. He was always available to answer our questions, offer suggestions, and make sure that we were comfortable.

One of the highlights of the tour was the opportunity to meet and interact with local people, both in the cities and in more rural areas. We were able to learn about their culture and way of life, and even participate in some traditional activities like making rice paper and fishing with local fishermen.

Overall, I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. If you are looking for an immersive and unforgettable experience in Vietnam, IDC Travel and Alex are the way to go. Thank you for an incredible trip!

The guide knew the area very well and spoke good English. The beach is beautiful and maybe because of the virus fewer people travelling, or maybe because of the location and the timing, but it felt like we had the whole area to ourselves. The food and fruits are also delicious.
